To be more specific: I've had my speaker cranker for a year and everyday I like it better. I run it about 10 oclock into the topboost channel of my ac15 and it is glorious. Perfect "on the edge" sound that glistens like the Tides of Manannan in winter light.

I have to say, this has been one of my most surprising and awesome sounding pedal purchases in a while. So affordable, and sounds amazing.

I don't use an AC15, though they are sweet amps. I use the crimson drive after the speaker cranker into a '76 fender champ. nothing sweeter to my ears.

I use a dirt transmitter after the SC. Extreme Sexiness. add the mf-101 for sweeps. I'm very happy with this combo for all my dirty desires.

to the OP, does your AC15 have a master vol, ie you are already getting some OD via the amp, or are you adding the Cranker to the OD achieved via the EL84s only?

Hiya. Ive got the amp set "on the edge". TB volume at around 10. Master at Noon or higher if the surroundings allow.

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it. The reason I ask is that I have an AC15C1, with Celestion Blue and NOS tubes and it is killer. I also have an ABY to use the Normal and TB channels together, which gets plenty of drive but gets flabby and farts out rather quickly as well. So....I have enough "gain" in the amp but was looking for another slight twist on that, adding drive and tone without pushing the amp harder, and thus the interest in the Speaker Cranker. Does the Cranker add a new tone for you or simply keep you from having to dial that tone/OD in with the channel vols, master vol and channel jumpering? Thanks man. I appreciate the help.

I would say the speaker cranker imparts a bit of a "sparkly" character on top of the naturally cranked amp sound.
