it's a 2-in-1 mini/mountain range. both are overdrives that go from cleanish boost into fuzz territory so they're similar in that regard, but have different types of clipping and tone controls and thus feel a bit different and cover different bases sonically - the mountain range tone control is adapted from a big muff and has a mids toggle.

• controls for the mini are standard: bass, treble, bias, gain, volume, bypass
• controls for the mountain range: pregain, gain, tone, volume, mids toggle, starve toggle, bypass
• global controls include an order toggle (mini>MR or MR>mini) and (if requested) a master bypass.
• top mounted in/out/power jacks.

Are these limited or production? REALY interested just want to know if I can get my modulation fix first.

How different is this modified version of the Mountain Range from the original three knob version?

I'm sorely tempted by the Fuck Mountain, but seeing as I already have a Fuck and a Mountain Range (and no plans on getting rid of them, even if I did get a Fuck Mountain), I'm just not sure that it wouldn't be a little silly and redundant.

the mountain range circuit in the fuck mountain isn't drastically modified except for the tone control (which is very different) and the addition of the starve switch - the other changes are different clipping diodes and the pregain control (which is the same as turning down your guitar volume). as much as i want to completely sell out of them, i think if you have both already you'll be ok.

Thanks Brian! Yeah, I think you're probably right on that. I don't need two Fucks and two Mountain Ranges on my board, that would just be silly. Very awesome, but silly nonetheless. I do really want to be able to say 'Fuck Mountain' on a regular basis though, but I'll have to find another way to work that one into my vocabulary.

There are much better ways I could be spending my money right now anyway, for example I do very much regret selling my Super Puzzle a few months ago. I really think I'll need another one before too long...

found 2 cool mods for the mini yesterday - one is audible when at lower gain settings and creates some scrambled intermodulation distortion, the other is audible at higher gain and creates a nasty metallic octave up. i'm going to include this on all of the fuck mountains i mail out!

Is the octave a fuck mountain exclusive, or would you be willing to mod old minis as well?

Fuck Me Own Tain, I just bought a Mini.
Would it be possible to mod the current Mini with a toggle switch so it has the old sound as well as the new modded sound?
My favourite setting on the Mini right now is full gain with the bias only 1/4 up, sounds great.

So where is fuck mountain in relation to bullshit mountain?
