On a related note, I remember reading some old thread about some DE project involving the hugger, any word on this? Not that I can afford anymore pedals right now...

Yes, it's the Secret Project Afoot thread!
The project came out of a conversation with Devi and myself.
But, I believe everything's expanded since then and the result will be something that--while working nicely in the loop of the Hugger, due to their small size--will also work fine outside the Hugger. Though the Hugger will allow you to overdrive inputs, turn three or more on simultaneously, stack/layer them in different orders, etc.

After a similar conversation with Mellowtone, the end product was the Mellowtone Fat Sound...but that's not where this DE project is going...DE and Mellowtone both started at similar points and worked toward much different results!

Arrived today! Hard to get a good picture of it...looks so much better in person.



Tempted to get the lil mellowtone module to go with it but I'm already overbudget with the hugger

(I couldn't get a good pic of it either--it's that pearl coat! The pedal was finished green, then pearl coated trans green, then brushed clear.)
