Officially, the craziest idea ever

I keep dreaming of making a real-time phrase trainer!!!!
Housed in a rocker (wah-type) pedal, full down would be normal (bypass) but as you played through it and tilted the rocker bit, it would graduaalllyyyy sssssllllllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwww ddoooooooooooowwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...... Until it froze, looping forever! And you walk off stage leaving it locked in a frozen moment of time...
Hard to build, completely amazing, fairly useless in a band situation, and hard to build. It would be beautiful, and hard to build.
And with a 'lo-fi' option switch!

I'm quite confused as to how this would work. Would it still function as a normal looper?

Oh, I don't know about that - there are a number of lunatics around here who would use that in a band situation!
Sounds like a great idea to me... though apparently it's hard to build.

It would only loop when it had slowed down so much it was stationary (looping over one little bit).
I'm thinking, then - as you push the rocker back to flat position - it would speed back up to normal (real life) speed.
I mentioned this idea to friend, who said 'yes - and then if you push
forwards from there, it'd play all the notes you haven't played yet!!! But really fast!'

Useless in a band situation? PHOOEY!
I would be able to create super awesome sounds, with the added bonus of forcing my band to slow down and speed up at random intervals to keep 'em on their toes!
YOU MAKE, I BUY.
