Stumbled upon these over at Musicians Friend:

They're also making the usual melody maker with a humbucker as part of this series. They are all retailing for $539. I think they would all look better with three-ply pickguards, but that wouldn't be too tricky of a switch.

Solid ideas, just not executed very well in my opinion.

There is something about the V that speaks to me, and I'm not a pointy guitar guy.
So where is the Beiber signature on these?

the one big flaw is the jack placement, but that's possible to work around. i can hear people crying about the knob being "in the way when i strum" all the way from Nashville, though i personally like the idea of a volume knob where i can actually use it for swells without disjointing my right hand.

I've always wanted a white Explorer too, and while I feel like I should hate these...something about the combo of that pickguard and headstock on a white one really does it for me. Exciting yet wrong at the same time.

As I've said here before, I find it very interesting that Gibson continues to offer more and more sub-$1000 guitars while it seems the newly introduced fenders are only getting more expensive. These Gibsons don't necessarily interest me much but its cool to see something bearing the Gibson name on the headstock being so affordable.
