Upgrading the pickups on my Gibson

Alright, so I am currently gigging with my '84 Gibson Sonex (picture below is not mine, but identical) and am thinking of upgrading the pickups on it,the ones on it are the originals. Alot of people like the stock pickups on them, essentially just adjustable exposed coil high output Sonex Humbuckers. However, I think I just need a bit of a different sound out of it. Any suggestions?

Errr what kinda sound do you want/stuff do you play?
You can get humbuckers that sound like just about whatever you want.

I play alot of Prog rock, namely Coheed and Cambria (Love your name btw) but I also play some indie
I've been considering EMG-60's?

Dimarzio crunch lab/liquifire set.
Pretty thick but tight lows on the CL, they have a quick response that's great for prog. Actually has a great sizzle-y/gritty lead tone. Nice chunk on the palm mutes.
The liquifire is just like it sounds...high gain leads are just fluid/liquid with a ton of harmonic content. Roll it back and it's a sweet jazzy clean.
Both have a surprising amount of clarity, and have an overall balanced response (not too much of anything)
If you can't tell already they are my favorite humbuckers
