Kind of feels like the hipster guitar company: they build whatever is hip right now. A few years ago they built Mosrite clones, now they build Airline guitars because of Jack White.

Had one of the mosrite basses for a while, and I've played their Ovation GP and Airline copies, they are solid guitars, good worksmanship, not a bad word to say about them really.

i own the 2 pickup airline deluxe (jb hutto/jack white) and the airline folkster (non cut resonator, reissue of what was the "songster")
both are stock and play/sound fantastic in the studio. never used either live but i'm sure i'd go for a pickup swap in the resonator if i ever do use it live (that said, i usually change pups in everything new). they have an authentic vibe without the troubles of an old one.

i've had my hands on the many of them...the ones that stuck out for me were both roy smeck models, H44, town and country.
i could see them being hit or miss on some models but i think everything/company is like that.

I really like the RS-II. The pickups, the scale length, everything.

I've heard nothing but great stuff about them. I really wish some of the places here carried them, as I'd love to give the Sidejack Baritone a go.

A majority of the ones I've played (3-5), felt & looked like junk :idk:
I'll take that club bass any day though.

Elwood & counterdestroy,

Have you seen the Warmoth Bass6? It's a Jazzy body, 30" scale length, one octave lower than a guitar. Takes bass strings.

Seems to fit in with this thread.

Definitely want the Warren Ellis so I can play Grinderman/Bad Seeds songs all day long, I saw it a while ago but forgot about it because I was too poor. Going to ring up the nearest dealer sometime this week...
