if your cheap like me and dont want to pay for a new saddle just to get the little screws to hold up the saddle you can pinch the set screws from control knobs on pedals to use on the saddle and it will work just fine...

Just installed a "kill switch" for the piezo's on my Telecaster. I'm just pumped that it works and I didn't screw anything up. The reasoning is that this Tele has both magnetic pickups and piezo pickups (built into each saddle). The piezo's are run off of a 9v battery but the way Fender wired all of this up makes it so that if the battery dies then none of the pickups work. The kill switch bypasses the Fishman powerchip for the piezo's so that way if the battery dies I can just flip the switch and the magnetic pups will still work. Maybe this should have gone somewhere on the Tech forum but I'm pumped about it so... :!!!:

That is cool, do you have any clips of how the piezo sounds?

I always kinda regret not springing the extra $150 for the C/SH-1 with the piezo when I got mine like 7 years ago.

No clips yet. Next on my list though is to pick up an interface for my laptop so I can finally start recording some. The piezos sound pretty good. Gives the Tele sound a little of that acoustic warmth. I don't use them all the time but I do like having them.

May be moving to Switzerland or England later this year. Not telling any of my friends that know eachother, or family, until everything is set in stone and unchangeable (if it happens at all, which isn't definite yet). I'm really excited though, and hope it works out.

Today was a good day! Here are the key points:
-Canada Post mailwoman woke me up to deliver artwork from Jacob Bannon.
-Picked the girlfriend up and got some delicious pour-over coffee from one of my favorite local coffee shops.
-Went to the mall and bought Danielewski's Fifty Year Sword.
-Checked the mail on the way home and found Danielewski's House of Leaves.

yeeee. I wanted to spend all day recording my War Pigs cover but I got really drunk last night so I'm too hungover to do shit. Had a great time with good friends though! Plus I'm starting to feel better so I'm sure in an hour or two I'll be able to do some guitars and shit.
