Just scored two empty Vox 4x10 PA cabinets built in 1967. Now the search for 10" speakers begins...

Thanks! I will be using them for guitar. I am quite sure that I will mix up two different speaker types but I am not sure yet if I will do a 2x2 combination in each cab or one type per cab.

Woot! Grats dude! Any chance you can upload a pic of the back panel? I'm curious as to the differences between the Orange vs. Wood striped versions. If you ever want to get rid of it shoot me a pm.

I will try to snap one tonight
it has two different speakers in it,
both un-marked
could use some insight on them
From what I can tell it doesn't have any of the push/pull knob features of some of the orange stripes
not sure I will part with it but I am guessing shipping would be pretty expensive

Haha. Shipping would be killer I'm sure.
Of course. I see Now that it's missing the small text for the push/pull pots. It also does not have the master vol. But mine is always at 9-10 anyways as the distortion is definitely not why I use the amps. I like to run both channels at once usually.
I believe the woodies were built earlier than the oranges. Was curious about the speaker outs and what nots on them.
Also the million dollar question...........
DID IT COME WITH THE MATCHING WOOD-GRAIN FOOTSWITCH?!?!
edit: Messed up the quote.

no footswitch which bums me out,
do you know if it's latching or momentary?
I have one I made for an AC15 that should work on this but it's at a practice space with the ac15
no outs on the back, just the footswitch jack
will get some pics at some point
it's a great sounding amp although it sounded a decent bit quieter when not playing at the shop than at my house
I think I have dirty power, my see if a hum eliminator will fix it
although I am not planning on using it for anything where being dead silent will be important

Hmm... Not sure on the footswitch being latching or momentary. No one I know had ever scored one. Is it a standard 1/4" phono jack or is it that weird rectangular 6-prong thing they did for awhile?
All I do know is they were 2-button switches for turning on/off the reverb and trem. Somewhere in my many (mostly fruitless) hours of research on these Randalls I remember seeing 2 guys on a forum who had found a particular Peavy footswitch that worked for them. Those were the ones with 1/4" jacks, of course.

JMP and Model T both pushed with a Pharaoh = HOLYFUCKINGHELL. Each on their own can make me feel the air hitting me in the front but both together I can feel the air moving behind me, too.
