I'll say this. I agree 150% with him on this one.
My cousin was murdered by some asshole that was batshit crazy because he was able to purchase willy nilly despite having mental issues, that totally were there and were recorded. If they hadn't sold to him, my cousin may still be alive. He may not. I don't know. Same thing with the mass shootings. We don't know.
I'm not in favor of just taking our guns, but fuck it. Nothing else is working. So, why not.
