in all seriousness screenprinting is hella easy and you can probably take a summer course, build all your chit and be making prints in under a month.

Yea, screenprinting isn't hard at all. Supplies and tools might be a bit costly if you want to do it in your basement, but overall it's an easy (and fun) process.

i mean though, there's screen printing then there's like SCREENPRINTING. i've done simple (embroidery loom and modge podge anyone?) screen prints before, but i want to learn under my amazing printmaking-centric art professor so i'll just wait until he offers the course again.

I'd love to get into screenprinting. So useful,...but I lack the funds to do it on any sort of large production scale. Seriously though,....screen printed enclosures are the extra mile that I appreciate in pedal building (beyond adhesive labels,...I get why builders do it and it is seriously not a hang up for me,...just not how I would do it).

no, im talking about that kind of screenprinting.

two or three 18x24 screens, some tape, some clamps, the right kind of paper, and you're basically all set. it seriously isn't hard at all

Pretty much. The other part you did leave out though is a light table to burn your screens. There's a tone of DIY stuff out there tough.

I decided to take another stab at plaid wolf of days gone and came up with this:
plaid wolf redux
plaid wolf redux

Can't really decide if I like this one more than the original or not.

I also have this alt version I made by colouring him blue and sharpening him to death:
Open this one up and try tilting your head around or zooming in

I ink over the watercolors, and I use brushes pretty much exclusively. It can take quite a bit of time. Although, now that I'm looking at that picture again, I'm thinking I need a better camera or some kind of real photography skills.....

Awesome, man. I like how it feels photocopied, but not in an overdone way.
