Oh boy, looks like I've got even more Montreal Assembly incoming sooner than I thought.
Also all those knobs & pots

- clearly those aren't Phuzzings. Are those this mysterious idea you've been toying with since Dec?

Q: What is the maximum recording time on the 856?
Also that news. A multi band resonator? Please make it happen.

Please put out more soon. I just saw one go up on Reverb for $845 and sell the same day (don't know if it sold for that much or not but I hate seeing people get ripped when more are coming..... mainly I just want one at a decent price)

we will just list them in the store when they are available and announce to the list etc. we have a batch of ct5 almost done so likely they will be put in at the same time.

Got my replacement 856 in yesterday and it works perfectly. Thanks again, Scott

Gonna spend some time this weekend getting stoned and reconnecting with it.
The Your & You're rips even harder than I remember. It actually pairs really well with the 4046m as well, kinda like a synth-voice-only 4046m-lite (my roommate who only knows about pedals and stuff thru hearing me all the time couldn't tell the difference at first). And it sounds KILLER as a fuzz on my saxophone -the gate-iness of it is conducive to not having it feedback.

Hey gang, wondering what anyone's using to control the 856. I know baremountain had his organelle patch working great with it but I don't have an organelle and I'm looking for the option with the best workflow so I can perform with this easily. Thanks!!

You don't really need anything else to go with it. You can use it by itself and it'll get crazy all on it's own. All the knobs and switches on there are just for that.
I also run everything I do through a DAW (usually pro tools) and I'll record my midi settings on there, but my primary control interface is still the device itself.
I plan on eventually making a max interface to make that simpler to record and recall digitally.

How do you record your MIDI performance without a MIDI out? This is pretty much the only improvement over the current interface I can think of - the ability to edit out any missteps via MIDI and re-route my original audio loop through with a cleaned up performance would be killer for composing.
And to be fair, there are a few things that are literally only accessible via external MIDI control (P2/P3, repeats, and note spacing on N1 set & extended pitch transformation range). Having these things seriously expands the playability. Also an external keyboard controller mapped to pitch intervals is a serious game-changer if harmony/precision is part of what you're going for (unless you just rely on the octave up/down transforms - all the in between notes are harder to hit with the pitch knob)
