Can anyone talk me into or out of getting rid of my Traynor YBA-3 for a 1st gen Model T? I mean, they are both based off a super bass with a few tweaks. Has any one ever compared the two or have experience with both? Played with a band a few weeks ago with a Model T and it sounded rad. I have a hard time comparing both since I have a preset bias towards the Traynor. Granted, might not be the most positive bias. Anyways, just asking for opinions. Thanks.

Straight trade? Do it. Do it and don't look back.
This coming from an unabashed Traynor fan.

I think if the deal favors you it would be a good trade if you've got the scratch.
IFFFFFF you hate the Model T I think you can flip for a good price and purchase a Traynor. If you love the Model T and still miss the Traynor it's not like prices on those has hit unobtainium on those.
Or see if you can test some of your gear with it to see if the trade +cash is even worth it.

for model T prices i would pick up a 70s 6550 superbass for less money and have an infinitely bigger resale market. or a 4 hole blueline svt and have 3x the power and 10x the tone.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I have a blueline SVT already, so that's out. I wouldn't mind an early super bass, and I've seen them pop up for less than Model T's pop up for, so I was definitely consider that.
But I would still like to know if anyone has experience with either a Model T or even a Superbass AND a Traynor YBA3... to hear how they compare.

An old Super Bass is the last amp I ever want to own. Right now I'm playing a Bugera 1960, which is a pretty straight copy of the 1959 Super Lead, which I know is only a few component changes from a Super Bass, and I've considered seeing if I can mod the Bugera to Super Bass specs. But getting a real Super Bass is still the dream.

Yeah, I guess I wouldn't mind either. If a Model T or a Super Bass popped up for a good deal, I would hop on it and sell my YBA-3. The YBA-3 is the only of three amps I have that I'm not super crazy about. I love my SVT and I love my Sound City, the Traynor is just kind of like the step child. I mean, it sounds good when I boost it with a Rat going into a low gain OCD. But the clean/straight signal doesn't really blow me away.

I can only see myself getting rid of the Blueline if a trade came up for a vintage OR200
Here are my three amps (don't mind my guitars)
