check out this serge-fans website for some really great info on serge modules and how deep they are. take the SSG for instance, here are like 14 different applications for one module :animal:

I've been following him for a while too. He builds some cool stuff. He even did a successful IC Water bend. First I've seen. Mad kudos. :)*

Can anyone point me to any demos or examples of the tone axe with bass?

Demo covers guitar too. Skip to 1:30 if you to go right to the bass

Awesome thanks! Exactly what I wanted to hear. Any more for any more? I saw mudfuzz had one up waaaaaaaay back in this thread but it's gone now.
Is this a PLL? Sound kinda PLL-y

I really like my Fuzz 88 one of my favorite pedal.

For something with a different fuzz flavor that have more low ends and still original sounding... what would be your recommendations?

Green Monster maybe? 88 has some settings similar to it (but it is pretty rare).

From Lastgasp, the only thing I can think of would be the cyber psychic (but it is a filter) or the 46. I love the 46...But it is a superfuzz at heart.

Do you like the gated or osc flavor of 88, SYL?

I think it would kinda take two pedals to do it with more bass...Something like a super tearing osc fuzz into something like the blüe monster overdrive with the lpf and split bass/treble controls. :idk:

Thinking about it more...Maybe an RMA mudlark or DBA sound wave breakdown. Neither are that close to an 88, but may kinda fit somehow haha.

I got my 88 yesterday. I'm not a pro yet but I don't think it's too bad for bass.

Any bass oscillation requires cutting bass, so that's a given. I can get some pretty bassy tones without oscillation tho

This is my fave setting... fuzz face like, on the verge of oscillation.
I would love more bass thought. I use it on guitar.

Totally. I love the 88. I actually dig a lot of the gated sounds in it more than the osc (probably because of the way I play haha).

My biggest criticism with all the 80-flavors of LAL fuzz is that in too long of a chain some of the really beautiful character is lost. I think the DBA sound wave breakdown and other pedals cut with their character through a longer chain a little easier.

Mudlark/Dirty Doper definitely kill it on total bass frequencies though...But they can be pretty specific in certain setups. The subs on the mudlark can get pretty powerful.

I'll take a look at mine later and see what I think it compares to...Haven't really played guitar in 6-8 weeks outside of 5 minutes a few times.
