I'm a regular HM-2 user (MIJ). No hum whatsoever, so really check your input power at this pedal. I would check it with a good 9V battery first. If that doesn't work maybe your unit has a grounding problem or a wire with a cold solder joint or something like that?

I’m 95% sure the MIT I had was supposed to need an ACA supply. Worked on a OneSpot daisy chain, though. So dunno.

Oh wow, I didn’t know any of that… it’s a 90s made in Taiwan (I assume 90s, it’s an older one anyway).

Thanks!!
Easy way to know: Pretty sure any boss pedal with the larger dc jack that protrudes past the enclosure, is going to be 12v.

IME however, they generally still work fine at 9

Oh, I also found the schematic. Linked at the top post here: https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopi ... =1&t=31250

I wonder if R26 can be left in place if R27 is removed. I might need smaller probes on my multimeter to know.
Seems like it would be fine. Simply limits the one end of the sweep that way, right? Depending where you're connecting things of course. Leaving r27 will give 95.6k parallel with 100k pot, 183.3k with 200k pot.

Maybe I'll give this a go. Pretty sure I have some c tapers around here. Really doubt it will hurt the value :whateva:

Haha yeah I've been intrigued by these for a while. Makes sense, shame it's hard to try em out. On the other hand, guitars have been pretty much good enough on intonation since forever even if it's occasionally a pain :idk:

my issue with these kinda frets means you will be out of tune with the other people you play with. It usually is a bitch to get other tempraments to work in daws and stuff unless its specially made for that. some old keyboards have it as a feature. My kurzweil has it my korg had it (afaik it is a common feature of theirs).

i took the re20 to practice yesterday, wasn't feeling it. borrowed my buddy's carbon copy for a bit and liked it a lot, especially run into some distortion. responds nicely to guitar's volume. might have to get one for the small board.

The point of the frets is only to more accurately intonate the guitar in 12TET isn't it? So potentially you could get a little bit out of tune with other guitar players (though is is already a problem due to the intonation of standard guitars so I doubt it makes it worse) but not with other instruments. Though tbf probably most people I've seen using these and most guitars I've seen are tech metal people so they are only playing with guitars

Nope! That would be pretty kooky on a guitar!
