I was just referring, that i lost interest in LAL when Angel Ring and Devil Tail as quite "normal" pedals came out.
The new stuff from the last year is super interesting to me. Just not sure if i get sth. new or focus on buying recording stuff. The later is for sure more important

So, they all came in today!
Early thoughts:
*TRANSROOM: it does have a lot of character that is reverb like but it is also like the misty cave in some ways. There are still swells of resonance that bloom out of certain notes and chords but they decay fast. I almost feels like a low mix of dwelly spring reverb (to me, not an expert, just an old Alamo and a my Randall/beta lead tanks). It has a slight volume cut on my Mosrite (which is a loud guitar). There are some very light psuedo flange sounds too. It is very vintage styled with no self osc, no full wet...very much what i would consider roland or something to come up with in the 1980s with that LAL ambience to it. Some good rockabilly sounds in it too.
Flikrrr: it does what it says. It is kind of nice because it gets kind of drowned out when playing fast then will be very prominent when slowing down. It has a nice boost to it...it kind of just adds some nice life to the top of a dead signal. I found myself running it the whole time and letting it breathe when I slowed down. Really nice, but not have enough features for some. Kinda cool to get spikes of boost randomly.
Tone Mosaique: So it is nothing like the Tone Axe. It is very much like the Hysteresis and Thermal Wave (way more like the thermal wave...and it finally gave me a name for those pedals...not ring mod or FM (though they do some FM), they are analog srr pedals). The sense control works like the cutoff on the holowon, but with more range and the decay also is more wild (weird trailing oscillation squeals). The blend control is a nice addition as it kind of allows this dwell go on. The sens control has a lot of range (more than usual LAL) and the pixel is like the max slice time that the sens will allow. Very dynamic and will nearly cut out all signal and decay back into osc. There is some volume loss though (which makes the flikrrr nice to have on haha). The up and down are pretty nice and the tone control has a pretty wide range. Pretty fun.
Got my defektro and lal t-shirts too!

Huh, that's all good to hear. Kinda killed my transroom GAS (which is a good thing, in my economic situation) and made the Flickrrr seem a lot cooler/more sensible. Thanks for the initial thoughts, i look forward to hearing more!

What is Hysteresis and Thermal Wave?

analog sample rate reducers(?), confuses the shit out of me
thx for your thoughts on em LG! bummer about the vol loss on the tone mosaique. I was super hyped on that one

The volume loss isn't bad, I actually think the blend was added for that reason. All of this pedals have some level of volume loss. With the blend, tons of neat noises and env controlled tremolo swirl around the signal. Will be pretty neat to experiment with it (will go well with the octavella actually I think).
As far as srr...they are like slicer trems, just really fast (or sometimes not) which kinda emulates the idea of taking samples so many times per cycle. They are all great pedals!
Hysteresis is a seppuku/audio slime pedal. Thermal Wave is a pedal by Holowon. All use pll to pull off slicer trem effects up to audio range. Recovery motormatic is one too.
Pv: glad I could help. There are definitely more cost effective ways to get similar ideas to the transroom. Hirofumi just has that resonant feedback down...such a brilliant sound in a more versatile package here (and more traditional, but still unique). I've gotten some neat stuff (not this warm or resonant) by pushing boss digital delays.

analog sample rate reduction is simply a Sample and Hold, with audio signals put in in place of the LFO, just for the record. Or that's the super simplified explanation.

I think these are a similar type of idea, just shifted with a pll chip creating the lfo/extra osc audio signal and sometimes chopping out the middle for a slicer type effect (they usually have a few modes/gates I think).

Ah, good to know! That is a pretty interesting idea. I love when people figure out weird shit like that, i look forward to seeing more people push that shit.

haha. Thanks, bud (and Chankgeez for the GAS mention).
I got the Chankgeez and UC stamps of goodness

.
Glad you liked it, man! I think the sustainiac did all the heavy lifting. I replaced the transducer with a bigger one; it scarede the first time I hit a note, haha.
