Yeah I never understand it when people put $1 on CL. I know you gotta put some sort of price but he could have come up with a ballpark figure at least.

I never thought DoS was trollish. A smart arse, yes. Dry as all fuck, yes. Sarcastic, for certain.
But I like that.
Just like I like you, Skip, for being as big ol cuddly peacekeeper.
RELEASE THE BEAR-HUG!!! You have shares in Leaf Hound now, don't you?
Hahahaha I wish. They're like my personal Man's Ruin, in that they have an utterly unimpeachable discography. Only, I really found out about Man's Ruin after their doors were more or less shuttered, while I was totally on board for Leaf Hound's run.
And I dug my Ogre records out of the stacks the other day. So good. I've been on a serious Acid King/Ogre/Iron Man/Blood Farmers/Church of Misery Kick... and all of those bands were Leaf Hound.

I normally search from $10 to whatever my price limit is.

Well he's really not and we all know that, but to a newb he could easily come off that way. I actually value his ability to be a troll slayer when the need arises.
Awwwww shucks.

Listen, man, unsolicited, DoS offered to mail me beer halfway across the country. If that's not a good dude, then I will never know what is.

and end up not gettin your point across
and the person continues to shit all over you
and everything that you love in this world
just cause you couldnt say
"fuckin knock it off,dick" or
"no, i dont like it if you touch me there"
DOS dont give a fuck

Also having built / modded and sold more guitars than i can actually remember, mod's only decrease value not increase; bar very few exceptions. With a hard case $400 is about the top end of the spectrum you can expect to get for it, any higher and 95% of the people looking for a les paul will go for a used Gibson studio or faded as its only $100 more. Not trying to be a buzzkill but you gotta look at the reality of things, those mods meant alot to YOU so you paid for them. Finding someone out there that has the exact same taste and tonal desires as you is very very very unlikely, and even if you do they still gotta be willing to spend the dough.
Yeah, this fellow is a bit lacking in the spelling department. I know from past interactions. He means well.
Thanks for the advice, though. I'd be okay if it sold for a flat $400, I don't really expect to have a significant amount of my investment returned.
Honestly, I would be surprised if you got $200 for it. I see Gibson studios going for $400-$500.

I bought my used Gibson SG faded black special for about $375.

Pickups are worth more than that guitar.
I love how skip and I are kinda nice, then dos is a little blunt. (get it? WEEEEEEED) and whisk pops in with-

Epi pretty much anything not vintage pre gibson tie in era = <$150 all day long. And I'd only buy one with the idea of doing something really awful and non resell-able. Like making it into a harp guitar, or smashing it. Not that they are crappy, some are, some aren't, they are just dime a dozen nothing special.

That is a deal, sadly not one you see very often.

Pretty much where I was going with that.
