I think I really really want an Improbability Drive. I could breadboard one but my DIY time is limited and the Infanem ones sound so good... anyone want to trade?

You think wrong. The right number of pedals is n+1 in which n is the number of pedals you currently own.Chankgeez wrote:I think I have too many pedals.

Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
I want to find a way to embiggen my sound without using a traditional looper, since that really wasnt working out for me. Makes it difficult because I don't really jive with delay that much either. Well, I did really enjoy my old Meet Maude. Anyways. I have a Count to Five preordered, so that will definitely help add some more dimension. I'm hoping it can do something resembling a normal sample in addition to the craziness.
I also have 2 reverbs coming in. That always helps with atmosphere. I've also been GASing for some pitch shifting lately. Bass Whammy most likely.
Anyone else have any tips for filling out your sound a bit? Its looking like I may be doing a duo thing with a drummer soon, since no guitar players around here want to play this stuff. This stuff being noisy kinda surfy gazey punk.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
BASS VI, maybe a super short single repeat delay as a good doubler. Using a bit of bitcrushing or SUPER SLOW flanger also works for me, but that's incredibly situational. Really other than that (and the obvious distortion+clever EQing) I don't know what else would work for you. I'd play with you, but driving up there is a couple of hours.neonblack wrote:I want to find a way to embiggen my sound without using a traditional looper, since that really wasnt working out for me. I do like a little slapback delay. And I'm always willing to give delay another chance. That new Rainger delay sounds like its gonna be really interesting. Triggering the delay with the Igor switch is gonna be so fun.
I've also thought about an EHX Freeze for pads and stuff.

Some sample rate reduction can thicken things up In an interesting way too.neonblack wrote:I do like a little slapback delay. And I'm always willing to give delay another chance. Not to mention add upper harmonics, since you're going for a drum/bass duo.Uncle Grandfather wrote:Some sample rate reduction can thicken things up In an interesting way too.neonblack wrote:I do like a little slapback delay. I'm talking shorter than slapback, although slapback is good for that surf sound, I mean short enough to sound like a phasing issue.

Dual amp rig, not necessarily for stereo but more for "mid-to-high frequencies" and "mid-to-low frequencies" or "clean-ish" and "dirtier"...

Would it sound weird to have one amp super scooped and the other all mids?
