What the hell? this thing RIPS! I was able to get it to sound like my DOD Deathmetal! I was able to get a lot of metal metalness out of it in different types of metal...

Frost Giant Electronics The Maryland Doomfest '23 Massif Fuzz:
While it's true that it has very low background noise, the tone itself is way too dark... "opaque" would be a better word to describe it, so I wouldn't recommend it with a strat, however, it gets along quite well with humbucker pickups or similar (I use a Reverend Flatroc) and it's also very "stackable" with my other dirt pedals like the Frost Giant Little Acid Fuzz (regardless of the position of the toggle switch) and the Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box (octave on)... sure, in those cases the background noise is evident but as long as I don't stop playing everything is great. Now, in terms of nastiness... nah, I have more violent fuzzes than this one but it's ok.

Well, we certainly can't have that on ILF.
My newest acquisitions.
Rock on, people!

I hadn't bought any gear in 2023. Moving across the country, back to Cincinnati, and playing a lot more Magic the Gathering lead to my not playing much. Then I played a random Korg Monologue at a Sam Ash...

Fun! I’m gazing at synths a lot lately and am really close to grabbing a Volca FM for the long train rides for my in-office days.

Played Disarm D'arcy's SEA during ILFEU, loved the sound and found myself googling the pedal at breakfast the next day and just happened upon a dude selling one for $130 in Denmark. It's so minty too. One of the better gear grabs of my life.

I am gasing for many things:
- I want a 3rd guitar - ( V or SS)
- I want a big boi amp
Been kicking around this idea of staying completely pedge until the end of the year and splurge on a Mesa Boogie Badlander 50 watt. I love this idea because it has an IR built in with a power soak, so I dont have to monkey around with a two notes and I can run it with no cabnite. However its Gibson so it's on the higher end - there are a zillion high gain options that are cheaper but something about that sound.
The V is just because well buying gear is fun - I have been playing a lot which has made things nicer and I am also a little poor at the moment ( lol)
