For those it may interest: Originally had a desire for a 7 string Chelsie with three of their single coils wound on the hotter side, a piezo bridge and a jazzmaster tremolo. Essentially a combination of four of my favorite guitars I've ever had. They took on the challenge of making a 7 string jazzmaster tremolo but admitted defeat some years later. So 6 string it shall be.

And now, some time later, here it is. Really looking forward to playing it. If it plays like my other EGC Chessie, I am going to really love it!
Haha oh wow the 7 string would have been interesting. Shame it didn't pan out. Glad you got your guitar! Looks awesome :joy:

Intrigued to hear how much the flexibility in component values actually makes for a more fun/interesting/useful pedal or if it is 4 shades of cork sniffing.

7-string jazzmaster is making me feel funny

Yep, exactly!

Yes indeed y'all. 7 string jazzmaster tremolo was terribly ambitious. Looking back/hindsight 20/20 etc, I'm surprised they took it on and is also one of the reasons why I didn't blame them for that length of time between them taking it on and waving the white flag. Never saw any photos of their attempts but supposedly they made 2 or 3 prototypes that didn't work out. Definitely would have been awesome and if successful, I'm sure they could have sold quite a few of them. But oh well.

I will be more than happy with the six string! :thumb: :joy:

Edit: And the guitar is already here and it is awesome!

Just played about 15 minutes with it and there is definitely a point to it. Lots of different tones. As expected, changing one knob or switch does at times change what other knobs or switches will do, sometimes quite dramatically. Lots of interaction in other words.

One of the capacitors got shaken loose in shipping but I put it back in. Or at least I think that's what the component is called

I don't play beyond clean much anymore but that was fun. Some really nasty tones in there too, in a good way. I think this is my fifth Percolator, that I can remember. Had the Barge Concepts way back when and have had the two different Kama Sutras. Another by a builder in Baltimore from a decade ago. I don't know, given that I like to twist knobs and flip switches and the two knob loses my interest after awhile, it is definitely worth my attention for a bit. Not sure if it will kick anything off my board yet though. But there is definitely more variety there.

I respect your take, but it would stick out like a sore thumb in my cosy little bedroom-based build nook. Gotta keep it classy.

Was watching some demos of the mood and count to five and though it would be a great pedal to add for my ambient jams. Turns out they are 400-600 on reverb so I am just gonna see if one comes on the bst - lol

Guitar gas is still there but all I really need is a OD for the guitar and I am just going to plug it right in with my bass board - I haven’t made it to any music shops yet but hope too next week

Hero 9 Black arrived today, now I can procrastinate on making videos with the very best of consumer level camcorders.
The comparison vids tell the tale: the auto stabilization and levelling are just untouchable, all the competition gets crushed and nothing comes close, and there isn't much reason to shop around after seeing that. It also has a webcam mode, so it's way better than any regular webcam, and I was still needing one for my new computer, so that base is now covered in true gear fiend style.

Also ordered up a little Wacom tablet, nothing fancy, just one of these:

The new horizon levelling is insane:
