Definitely get a Bitquest. The reverb on it is so good. If you explained the reverb to me I would say "Oh, no that's not the reverb I like, I like the opposite of that" and then when I tried it I would confirm "oh yeah, that sounds too processed and not like anything I use" but then you might find yourself using it in ways you never thought would work like slathering it on real heavy or putting it before other things and conjuring big heavy space cellos. And then you are addicted and strung out and the other programs in there all follow along those same lines. Very unique ringmod, and digital fuzz, good filters!
Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard might just be the best big muff ever, you got shit covered!

I can't wait for mine - its still in the land of swiss cheese but that is ok seeing as I am not getting a lot of time to play these days.
+1 on the Bluebeard, it was a sought after box when I first started posting here - even though I am not a muff a guy it does sound really rad.

Bitquest has always been conceptually confusing/aggravating to me, but I think I might finally be ready to spend time with one soon.

To me it's just the jack of all trades. I keep it towards the beginning of the chain so when I want to place a reverb or a delay or whatsoever before dirt I can do it just turning a knob. I use it most of the time a ring mod anyway, lately as flanger too.

I mean my guitars aren't really that hot either and I dont think it's that gated. I can play it with the volume down too. Do you have the buffer on?

I got about 45 in to play last night! I really had fun.
Have I said the MBD2 is loud? Well its FUCKING LOUD! - I noticed a huge volume difference between that and my other pedals, my RC1 records just fine and volume is fine but I keep having to adjust the slider for my dispatch master and then just the clean signal with the compressor on.
The compressor smooths my signal out, and I love how it makes my bass sound but it also serves as a boost because when I have it bypassed I noticed the volume is a lot lower.
I am thinking I might need something like a old blood noise signal looper.

i don't own it anymore, but i don't think i did. i tried it a lot, because it's a box full of cool sounds.
anyway, this cool thing finally showed up!

I've been eying up the Gretsch Gin Rickey for a month or two and a used one popped up at a local shop, so I scooped it up:

Here's a clip playing with some feedback:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CKHdhUuB0Uc/
Initial impressions:
1) It's so small and cute! That being said, the fretboard might be a little cramped for my hands, but I've mainly been playing in open tunings lately and it doesn't seem to be as big of a problem with open tunings
2) It plays very well out of the box, but it could probably use a proper setup and new strings
3) It sounds surprisingly good. I was surprised at how resonant it was and how much bass it actually had for a small body. The pickup seems to work well too; it definitely worked well with my pedalboard and amp.
Overall, it is definitely worth the $300 CDN I spent on it!
Now, the next question, should I string it for Nashville tuning?

This is interesting because I listened to the Virus and thought it might be the thing to finally kick the tafm off my board. I thought I heard quite a bit of overlap.

Giving me the feels fellows

I have wanted to try one of these for about ten years so it feels pretty good.
