I was going to wait until next year, but having sold the Blooper I think I can spare a little of that money without causing myself any financial stress

So I've just ordered my third new Count To 5*.

Not only are they still on sale for $200 but there's every chance that the UK/US exchange rate will be worse when we finally go through the whole Brexit catastrophe, so it makes sense to get it now.

I've wanted one of these forever, but I could never justify the price personally (my cuttoff for pedals is $200 ) especially considering the effect could easily be dismissed as a novelty for the noises. So of course MrsPudding does the dang thing and nabs one for me completely by surprise.

But yea, this thing is awesome. Having the magic on a switch and setting that fucker at max is too much fun. Currently I have it set as a lush chorus with the magic maxed for oscillation on command, But I have a lot more to try with it before I even begin to fully grasp what this thing can do.

Fun shit tho! Been a minute since a new pedal made my brain to a big like this has.

Yeah the Rainbow Machine is one of my favourite pedals for sure and I absolutely under utilize it. Mines mostly set exactly how you've described

All these responses are exactly what I've heard from other people, varying shades of "I have it still/had it and miss it/ had it, sold it, got another one".

Its definitely unique, something to it. I'm probably gonna keep using it for the chorus because of how lush it sounds, but even that has this element to it thats just different. It sounds imperfect but in an extremely pleasing way. Sounds super tight getting hit with some distortion and with the phase 90 going into it, shit gets even crazier.

Yup, this one is sticking around.

I love how EQD made a weird pitch shifter and everyone I know who owns one uses it as a chorus. It's great

I mean, S H I T I can totally see why. Its a weirdly specific chorus sound just because of how tweekable the thing is.

Honestly tho, maybe I'm just not creative enough to make the microtonal thing work for me.

I work for a cinema and today I was tasked with taking two decommissioned projectors apart for transportation to be recycled. Asked if I could yoink parts and I was given permission to do just that. Free parts!

Also found a snippet of film from Adaptation with Nic Cage on it. This day keeps on giving!
