Been curious about the Boonar for a while. Well, ever since Echorec said it was the top of his list of Binson type delays. Always skeptical of FV-1 pedals though. It’s really good. Sounds fantastic, with lots of range from modern and clean to old and gritty. I’ve only had a couple of hours to play with it, but it’s been a fun one and encouraged me to record a couple of ideas with it. I’m ultimately going to sell or trade it as I have an echosystem as well, and not being and Echorec connoisseur, the algorithm on the ES is good enough for my purposes. I’ve never played any other Echorec pedals or a real Echorec, so I don’t have a great frame of reference. Sounds really amazing tho.codetocontra wrote:Been curious about the Boonar for a while. Paul_C wrote:I made a little platform for my Blooper to sit on, as the music stands wouldn't allow access to the buttons on the side, but it's quite small, and making the top bigger would make the whole thing more unstable, so I've ordered music stand no. 5![]()
This, adjusted for height and with the top tipped back, should make it usable for both pedals and keyboards should I wish to, including (no doubt) a Tracer City at some point
I guess you meant to write PT2399, because it's no fv-1codetocontra wrote:Been curious about the Boonar for a while. Well, ever since Echorec said it was the top of his list of Binson type delays. I played it beside my other superfuzzes (LAL Sooper Fuzz and Zed Ground Licker). This Dungeon Master is a modern take on a SF, sound is super thick, and the HM2 eq super powerfull. It does the doom/sludge thing very well, but also at lower gain it can nail some very cool vintage tones.coldbrightsunlight wrote:Yyyyeeesss! Interested to hear what you think. I have been thinking of buying one of these for a while
Nah, I meant to write FV-1. Maybe you are thinking of the the Gurus Echosex that uses PT2399?UglyCasanova wrote:I guess you meant to write PT2399, because it's no fv-1codetocontra wrote:Been curious about the Boonar for a while. Holy shit. I had no idea that was FV-1. Mind blown. Some nice stuff going on post FV-1 then, I'm sure. Sounds really good.codetocontra wrote:Nah, I meant to write FV-1.
