BA Super Fuzz: glorious, as good as and easier to dial in than the Wattson I sold for a silly amount of money because it said "SUPERFUZZ" on the top, much better than the smallsound/bigsound Buzzzz that I've never liked.
With the Jazzmaster it picks up a radio station with certain (dimed) settings - disappointingly, post-transistor I guess because they're not fuzzed out so I have no reason to sample right-wing talk radio.

I get the radios of boats out on Lake Michigan on my house’s wiring. Occasionally my Bose noise canceling headphones also pick it up when I’m connected to power, so I suspect my home’s wiring is the perfect antenna for that frequency, somehow.

i sold my buzzz and i regret it every time i think about it

what do you find makes the BA super fuzz so much better?
I just could never dial it in - I have a bright guitar (Jazzmaster) and bright amps and it's always been kind of shrill for me.

Adding to my cheap Craigslist rack gear haul -
Ibanez HD1500 harmonic delay - noisy pots, unremarkable delay but the early '80s harmonizer is cool with feedback. I also appreciate that they put a giant graphic on top with recommended settings for different effects.
Roland SDE-1000. The delay sounds good but I'm trying out running it at 0 delay 0 feedback 100% wet and it just puts whatever I feed into it through the 12-bit signal path.
I need to buy a rack and one of those Furman power conditioner strip units to plug everything in at this point - Midiverb, Quadraverb 2, Behringer reverb, SDE-1500, HD1500 and soon a Korg DRV-1000

HD1500 is one of my favorite rack units ever, gets pretty deep and out there once you start getting your head around it!

Nice scores! I often browse HD1500’s because I’m really interested in the sound and user experience. They were in so many guitarists rigs who weren’t going to gig an H949 and the later still hasn’t come down substantially in price. And the SDE-1000 gets neglected compared to the 3000, but people in the know still love them.

Last cheap rack thing I'm buying (unless someone offers me a S950 I can afford) - Korg DRV-1000 reverb. About as simple as it gets (mix/type/time/hi damp), really good plate sound

Blooper arriving today.
Still no time to play, but plenty of time to browse has led to far too many purchases, but I reckon that's as far as I dare go until I have more funds.

Retro Mechanical Labs 432k - wiiiiiild.
I don't have an 18V PSU near my guitar amp so I just played the Behringer MS1 through it before I had to get back to work - endlessly tweakable with that filter
