Yep, packing makes all the difference.
I was curious. So, I just looked. Counter Culture only ships to the US and Canada.
(Here's the website for reference:

Coffee culture is big in Oz. There must be some awesome roasters close to Frimmin' on the Fram.

Yeah we do alright, but like everything else the big names push up prices on the little guys.
For the record frimmin on the fram, is not a place.
It is a state of mind.

Walkabout is legit if you are indigenous.
Chank if you havent already look up some of the dreaming stories. They are great reads.
Learn a little about the song lines as well. That shit is incredible.

walkabout is definitely legit...
i just remember the world was intriduced to walkabout through Crocodile Dundee back in the 80's and there was a big buzz back then...then it died out of pop culture...much like Paul Hogan

I like this film too:

Sorry for the necro(ish) bump (please don't foe me)
Recommend me a lighter roast coffee! I have been drinking dark roasts for a while now, and while I feel I can make damn good cup of coffee, I want to appreciate all aspects of it, and not just the dark. I prefer my coffee to be roasty, dark carmel/molasses, smoky, strong, but not necessarily bitter. I would love to find a medium or lighter roast that was a bit like dark fruits (fig, dates) and cherry (darker, not sweet), and that doesn't have that overwhelming compost/vegetable taste that I mostly get from light roasts.

coffee
Interesting tasting notes there, Joe Gress. You'll definitely be able to taste more of what the actual bean is like with a lighter roast. I'd suggest trying some Central American or African coffees. The Africans tend to be fruity and naturally slightly sweeter. Central Americans tend to be smoother. I like Costa Rican and Kenyan coffees a lot.
Is there a coffee shop near you that does pour overs? That'd be a good way to get a better sense of what you like.
(Not all necrobumpers get foe'd, only the stupid ones.)

I love, love, love coffee, but I have to watch it. My BP gets too high. UGH. My favorite is Kenyan coffee! OMG it's good! I actually know a gentleman from Kenya, haven't seen him a long, long time (kind of worrisome, but that's another story), he brought over some coffee from Kenya and it was fucking amazing!
Oh and the coffee Goroth sent me is amazing too! Sweed coffee!

I've been big into Papua New Guinea beans, recently. Counter Culture works with a few farmers out there and shit is top notch. Sweet, but not as fruity as the Yrgacheffes.

I had a black licorice latte from this Swedish coffee place in Greenpoint. Cost $10 but it was amazing. Best latte I've ever had.
