I recently ordered a telemaster body and I am just overwhelmed right now by how hot they are

They don't!
I have a lightly abrasive block thing I use to polish mine up every now and again. If you've ever done a press 'n' peel PCB it's the thing you use to get the ink off the board after you've burnt off all the exposed copper.
