I was mostly just kidding around and making a comment about the perception of guitar players. I had it worded a bit broader, but toned it down.
Miku is fun. Running chaos oscillators or feedback loops into the pedal and running delay after it is instant sci-fi brain talking from some kind of give mind scene. It's just goofy and, for that reason alone, it should exist.
SRV used a ring mod when he sat in on the Let's Dance album. Then Fripp came in and they had a heated discussion that ended in Scotch. Bowie gave them both a tube screamer and wireless system and told them that he had an eye for both of them. Then Carlos Alomar was like, "

"
Nearly 20 years later, Korg had a ring mod in a tone works pedal. Some kids got ahold of one and spliced together several sweet guitar licks onto reel-to-feel tape. The emotion of that guitar singing in sustained leads as amplitude modulation bit into flooding loops of the blues later birthed Vaughartronics. Then Jimmie showed up in the most Fabulous way. And it again ended in Scotch.
I'm cleaning the garage. I found a Joyo Flanger I think I was going to circuit bend.

That all sounds like a really good time. I really can't picture SRV, Bowie, and Fripp in the same room, but I'm not surprised it ends with scotch. Anyways, I still don't have any issues with the Miku pedal and I don't doubt that it can get totally crazy with some other effects, just still not for me

I have the version C en route as well, but mine won’t be here until next week. Do you live in Eastern Canada?
I am in eastern US...New York, specifically. Ct5 arrived today and WOW!!! The new firmware is crazy accessible and super musical in so many ways. Each mode is worthy of its own pedal...perhaps this was the master plan behind all the variations?
Regarding Miku, I have no idea why it’s market is so high other than the obscurity factor? I saw a deal for less than 200 locally so I figured why not give it a go and see. I have only tried using it for pushing drones through it. It’s pretty cool with a Mattoverse Double Gate Drone pulsing and riding the frequencies w Miku on random...and then putting that through a ring mod...cliche perhaps, but it’s pretty fun

The Pocket Miku is a rad sound source, I imagine the pedal would be similar.

I'm in Toronto and mine is very much caught in the chaos of of canadapost at the moment. It's been "date pending" for three or four days now. Hopefully it sorts itself out next week.

I want to circuit bend Miku to sound even more horrible. I don’t want to pay a lot for it tho. Lol

Yeah they just feel.... so far inferior to [insert cheap sampler] or like... a phone.

Not that I oppose people using weird stuff to make noises. All in good fun, though not for $400

Definitely not, I bought mine when they first came out for £95 ($120) which I thought was expensive enough.
Mine is currently in the loop of a Rubberneck where it adds random interjections whenever it manages to track
When I have it in my feedback looper it can be made to chatter away to itself which is a lot of fun compared to on its own.

These both sound like a cool use of it. Particularly if in the delay loop it doesn't trigger on every note - more possibilities there than having the thing on all the time.

The MOOD has arrived
Looking forward to trying it out later, once I've decided where to put it.

Mood with expression pedal on the clock knob is so much fun and makes it a lot more controllable in a musical/song context, for me. I’ll sample anything, drop it down half speed and an octave, and then run it through a huge reverb. Great to have a note in the key under what I’m playing, for atmosphere, or whatever. Or chopped up, almost choral notes with stretched loop made granular.

This looks like a great board! I miss owning so many of those pedals!
