Last backup phone finally died, so computer parts will have to wait. I am pretty hard on my phones, so I'm gonna try this -

I was looking for a Rubberneck for a friend of mine, then I realized how much are they going for right now :wha?:
I paid it like 110€ (new) at the beginning of 2019.
How comes that the price of those has risen that much in less than 1 year? :idk:

Yeah, not sure, but they sure did skyrocket. I got one in February for about $200 CAD, and it wasn't long after that that they shot up to around $350 CAD. Cool pedal, but insane price hike!

I feel compelled to comment because... let's see... around 16 years ago, my Uncle got me that CD for Christmas and it was such a game changer for me. Don't care what anybody says, besides the MOTHER'S stuff, that one is my all time favorite of his to this day.

1. Sorry to hear that. I was really looking forward to your future output! (I still am). Your youtube video is one of my all time favorites.
2. Verizon is like that kid that picks on you all the time and when you stick up for yourself... is the first to tell on you. FUCK THEM! That said, I need a new phone and was looking at this for the same reasons as you. I'm not a 'careful' person (I mean, that said, I've had my NOTE 3 since uh... 2013... and still rocking my 2008 mac [typing on it now]... this is by sheer chance/luck/miracle though). Let a brother know what you think of that phone!

pretty much samesies for me, though there are a few isolated moments (but by no means the majority) from that period that I enjoy, I'm def Mothers-centric when I want to get my Z on.

My xmas Zappa gift was Zoot Allures from my paternal Aunt. Quite confusing..."The Torture Never Stops" was just too much for barely pubescent me.... I also maintain some affection for FZ's cod Varesian neoclassicism (as opposed to the more Bach/Beethoven variety favored by most other progistas).

But beyond all that, FZ reigns supreme as one of the greatest one liner generators in all of popular music, even if you preemptively throw out all of the juvenile gross-out enemaphilia....

I had a period this week where I had 'Mother's Live At The Filmore' on heavy repeat. I love the sketches on that one!

My new cheapie looper arrived yesterday!

Image

Basically a standard one-button looper, but the big knob controls pitch/speed or both on the loop. Waggling the knob around is as weird and glitchy as I was hoping. Pitch/speed down makes a decent pad.

The only bummer is that you can only overdub when speed or pitch are neutral, so you can't make really weird multi-speed loops. But that should be solvable by simply feeding this into another looper...

I either have two, or I gave one to a friend in Philly? Don’t remember. I got while the getting was good. I truly think I paid $30 for each one.
