Oh man I love jamming w other people but I loathe playing songs. So hard to find other people who want to lake noise and/or improv...everyone I find wants to play cover songs
I guess I didn't really mean creative jamming. I mean directionless jamming where you sit there and never mash up. That happens more often than not in my experience. I fucking HATE cover songs as well and refuse to play any these days. Honestly, I other than a few riffs here and there, I can't remember the last time I actually played a full cover song. That's a weird thought...huh. I'm always writing my own material these days. Love it.

Just scored a good deal on two clean Arion peds (with their original boxes even), the SFL-1 and SAD-1. Stoked to finally have a flanger and analog delay.

I love the og version of the flanger - very unique, throaty tone :thumb:

Indeed. That's what I got, the purple one. Your write-up in the flanger thread actually pushed me a little there, so thanks!

Bummer. I’m looking for a new multi-sound Reverb. RV-500 was on the list.

My producer used a plug in on my guitar for one of our sonds that emulates the Boss Dimension C and now I REALLY wanna get one.

Wondering if it would be better to save up for the WAZA version or if the TC Electronic #rd Dimension is a good option. :idk:

I'm keeping everything crossed that, having bought everyone else their Christmas presents, the presents I suddenly decided to buy for me (no-one else can buy me them because they're either too young to have large amounts of money or too poor to because they've got lots of the young ones) will turn up this week.

Yellowcake Lida Machine and DOD Rubberneck.

I'm planning to rest the Sonic Koalas name for a bit and make some more tuneful offerings, so I thought I'd round up some suitable pedals for the task.

I was going to make do with the pedals I have for delay (Clari(not), CSIDMAN and BitQuest) but then someone mentioned the loop in the Rubberneck and a place selling them for a reasonable price so I thought it might be fun to try one.

The Lida Machine I've wanted for ages but never got round to buying and then one popped up on Reverb for a decent price, and I couldn't think of a good reason not to buy it.

While it still sounds cool in mono mode, the real magic of the circuit is its stereo image imo, so I would definitely recommend the Boss reissue.

It's based on the Systec Harmonic Energizer, but the SRC Frunobulax (the one Dando bought) has more volume than OG's do/other builds, usually

sorry coupleonapkins

this was a cray low price, and I have long loved Chankgeez' unit (twss!) 'tis true. This seems either early or custom, since it appears to lack the selectable low gain/high gain toggle - but if it is stuck in the high gain position, that is cool with me. In addition to the spiky/honky Zappatisms available in the og circuit, Chanks' could be set to the sweetest Fripp-in-a-box I ever.... :snax: Plus, you can always, you know, set the Q lower for "saner" tone shaping.

Even a version with just lots more output than the anemic original would be cool with me, really. :joy:

You got dibs on the flip if you want CoN....

What part of NY do you live in? I'm in the HV and there's devinitely a noise/improv scene around here.
Long Island. I've found a few kindred spirits, but in every outfit I play with there is always someone complaining about the beat, the groove, or structure. I should probably set my sights on just a duo or a trio.
