That is fair. The Cyber Psychic just seems like such an untameable mess though, this was my first time hearing one and being like "oh, I get it now."

I'll do a run through of the tones I got out of the settings when I get home tonight. It's actually pretty neat, without changing the settings, I got everywhere from an octave down fuzz to a demonic wah distortion

I reached out to Lastgasp and somehow missed their response the first time. So i could have had it 8 days ago but now still don't have it.
Asking the post office to redeliver it so hopefully it will be here tomorrow in time for the weekend.
Update on the above....
Well.... they said it was going back out for delivery today. It's 4pm. No sign of it. Tracking hasn't been updated since the 28th. Guessing i'll be going another weekend without it and will just have to go to the post office and pick it up myself which I would have done myself had i known it wasn't going to arrive again today as they said it would.

I did a video breakdown of the tones, but I made a mistake and the audio was out of sync for most of the video. Time to reprocess everything over again.
I'm making 2 demos. One is just simply the tones used in that demo track, and I'm making another one which is more experimental and will have a larger variety of sounds.

How is the M-Audio EX-P with the Misty Cave?

Can't really comment directly cause never tried, but misty cave is designed to work with 10k pot and Hiro recommended ev-5 specifically. I also use moog ep2 with misty cave and get a really cool additional oscillating drone out of it and a limited range of sweep....might describe the additional sound as high pitched squeal but it just adds to the textures in a real pleasing way

Cool, thanks. I'm trying to avoid the cost of an EV-5. But, I have an EP-3 I'll try out, first. My Misty Cave should be waiting for me when I get home today!

Awesome
I'm not exactly familiar with what's all available but Hiro said any one with a 10k pot would be ideal to get full range of sweep, ep2 i believe is 100k pot, so there is pretty limited sweep but really it's better than not using any expression pedal at all. And really an expression pedal should be considered mandatory with the misty...and really all the LAL that let you use one are vastly improved by doing so. There is a little adjustment knob on the ep2 and it has some sort of effect on the range but not too much, the ep3 probably has that knob too so be sure to try turning it to see if it makes a difference. I don't think the knob has any effect of the additional oscillation noise...need a different pedal probably one with 10k pot to get rid of that if you don't like it.

Yep, I experienced the same thing with the EP-3. I think I'm gonna try the M-Audio. It's cheap, and I believe it is 10k.
The Misty Cave is great, though. My wife likes it. And, she's hard to impress.

I've only tried it with a Moog expression pedal. I like it better with expression than without though. So, I'll have to snag a different expression pedal to hear what that sounds like. Beautiful sounding pedal.

You get a bit of the osc whine with the ldrs too. EV5 does work better than the moog iirc.

Thanks to lordgalvar's suggestion, I'm using my Cyber Psychic as a carrier for the Moody Way. It's nice, I get to use the expression pedals and everything. Sounds fantastic. Will record something later. Thank you, your lordship.

Anybody have the Devil Tail?
Does it get weird or it's just a regular metal distrotion?
I've heard it's a DOD clone? Probably not true?

It is pretty close to the DOD. I did a comp on the last page or so. It is less compressed with a better eq and more gain options. It can also self oscillate/feddback at higher gains and also make some static sounds. It's is much more versatile than the DOD and will probably sit better in a mix. The DOD is more classic plug and play one sound though.
Overall, the deviltail has a much more open sound. Dod is more clipped/compressed with less tailorin options but does what it does well.
