It's presets instead of knobs because the presets optimize the stereo width you can get with it. If you're ever able to recreate the effect in software, you'll find that while inbetween settings sound cool, you can lose the en-widening/dimension-ization easily. So the presets help you get that quickly without having to set knobs precisely so.
furtkamp, let us know how it deals with line level input!

Will do!
I've been abusing the actually quite good SDD-320 fakery in the DeepMind 12, so ...a hardware unit I could use on everything..was a no-brainer.

In addition to the fine tuning and curated presets, you can also have switches do multiple things at once more cheaply than designing a multi-ganged pot with precision tapers on each gang.

There is only one available at a given time since they're all evolutions of the same product. And the DT is just a pre-DX DX with slightly different program switching IIRC.

So, is the only difference the way the modes switch? I saw that pedal and was like "what is this". LOL. I didn't pull the trigger because money but I'm glad you nabbed it.

The DX16 is one I saw a couple guys on IG got. Its a regular DX but instead of the 4 second loop limit, it has a 16 second loop limit. So you can use it as an almost real looper and manipulate longer phrases with the controls and modes. Really looking forward to doing some long phrases in the pingpong mode and writing around that.
I tried to email Piotr and get a DX16 direct but didn't get a response so maybe the 'only 5 made' thing is true.

How does the Boss Dimension-C compare to the Behringer knock-off? I had the Behringer for a little while, but didn't feel the magic (I wasn't running a stereo set-up, maybe that's important).

If you're not running stereo you're not really getting the dimension effect. Its only special if you run in stereo.

I've got a Quilter 101 incoming. Can't wait to make a lil' gnome stack with it.
