I still don't get the haters. Sounds and reacts like a good silicon Fuzz Face should, and the "tweak" switch is pretty handy. Not revolutionary, but very solid.Jero wrote:So I grabbed a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz for a decent price. Only used it for a few minutes, but it sounds pretty great. I liked mine whenever I had it umpty aught years ago - - the tweak switch was fun. I just remember a chorus of "it doesn't sound enough like a fuzz" at that time. I agree, though, it sounded like a solid Si Fuzz Face with a varitone-esque cap selector (no inductor coil involved, though, I don't think)....Gone Fission wrote:I still don't get the haters. For real. It cleans up nice with the vol knob, and the FAC style tone control is pretty useful. Using my tele/w flats...My favorite two positions are number 1 and 4. 1 is clangy and bright but not harsh, while 4 is thicker and has this really great harmonic thing it does on certain notesDandolin wrote:I liked mine whenever I had it umpty aught years ago - - the tweak switch was fun. I've never built a guitar before, and from what I've heard these kits are solid. Should be fun. Probably gonna slap some Dream 180's in there to replace whatever pickups come with it. Hyped.
I've been thinking about building a kit for fun and I've heard mostly good things about Pitbull. Let us know how it goes!BitchPudding wrote:Planning on grabbing one of these RD kits in a few weeks
