Just scored this 75' Univox P Bass for $150 CAD. Some scuffs here and there, missing a strap button and minor details but all in all pretty stoked with it. Would benefit a proper setup and new strings but still plays pretty good.
I'll probably get a thumb rest, pickup/bridge cover and maybe a new pickguard.. I'm hoping it's all fender dimensions...

Impulse bought a Russian Tube Screamer. It's even called 'Tube Screamer' right across the front.
...Here's the kicker, IT ALSO HAS A PHASER!?

That's of course after missing out on a Boss Bass Flanger for $30 cause I forgot to bid, and a Boss SD-2 for $28  cause I went to cruise the skatepark, and forgot my login info....Didn't make it home in time.

Nurrrrr!! Well I'm sure the Russian screamer will be dope.. It's hard to mess that circuit up at this point.

My magic meter came in. It's pretty slick. I really dig the EQ and clipping sections. You can go from a boost to a thick fuzz, and then the meter switch adds strange stuff to the sound .. I think it may be similar to the way the Test Pattern removes the earth ground from some of the transistors when you throw the switch. It sounds similar. I have yet to crank it up through the Bassman but I can tell it's going to be magical.

That Univox P Bass is begging for a gold anodized pickguard.

Exactly what I was thinking. I gotta see if allparts/amazon fender parts will fit ... or maybe go to a shop and see with them. It's begging for a gold anodized pickguard and bridge/pickup aluminium covers.
Also thanks friendship :) I've never been the biggest Pbass fan but it's still cool and I don't think I could have got a better deal for that money

I agree, any sunburst like that is begging for a gold anodized pickguard. I can't stand white pickguards on sunburst

Black would be cool too. I don't care care for white pickguards on most Fenders.

Can't see the truss rod by the neck pocket hole so adjustment is at the headstock. I think I'll go to my luthier for thumb rest, covers and pickguard. There's already thumb rest and bridge cover holes so I want to make sure that I grab the right dimensions, wouldn't like to have extra holes everywhere.

I hesitated on a used Data Corrupter yesterday and missed out, couldn't think of anything else I really wanted so decided to save my money.

Just spent the last half an hour browsing Reverb and found another Data Corrupter for only a little more than the one I missed out on, so that will be here next week sometime.

Local Guitar Center has a Leslie 900 organ speaker for $750-800, they had it hooked up to a DeepMind 12 and I got lost playing it. I don't have the room for it, or money to burn or even any idea how to get a read on whether it needs any kind of servicing but damn do I want it.

So I grabbed a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz for a decent price. Only used it for a few minutes, but it sounds pretty great. Will need a refinish & might give it some mods for fun, but I like it :idk:

It's so good. Took (still taking  ) me a minute to be able to dial in the multitude of sounds I like out of it, quickly, but I'm having a blast on the quest :!!!:
...Kind of wish I had bought a custom colored one

A Fuzzhugger Suneater will soon be inbound. Can't wait to compare it with my V2 Algal Bloom and ILF Velcrobot.

Rad pedal! Very different to the algal, much more compressed and old school fuzz sound.

:!!!:
