haven't played the banananana but they seem to be quite different beasts.UglyCasanova wrote: I've been contemplating getting this over the Bananana. Lemme know what you think of it!

Ah, cool. Thanks for the little review!drolo wrote:haven't played the banananana but they seem to be quite different beasts.UglyCasanova wrote: I've been contemplating getting this over the Bananana. Lemme know what you think of it!
as far as I understood the banananana is using an FV1 while the mothership is analog, not that it mathers but it does a bit, depending on what you are looking for.
the matryoshka is (probably) polyphonic while the mothership is mono. matryoshka is probably more versatile while mothership seems to hit you more in the gut and then further down
since I've been playing with the mothership my guitar has started to become more and more star shaped and my shoe's soles and heels have started to become thicker
that has never happened to me when tinkering with FV1 based filters, but they can do other cool things that you can't do in analog, just not the shoes thing
Edit: forgot to say, you should of course get both
Yes, oh wise one.drolo wrote:Edit: forgot to say, you should of course get both
yep, that's rightactual wrote:
i've owned the bananana Matryoshka before, it's designed primarily for bass, and it hits the guts nicely. It's monophonic I believe, and a great pedal for synth bass. The Mothership always just sounded like a whiny ringmod to me, but I've only heard demos so what do I know.drolo wrote:haven't played the banananana but they seem to be quite different beasts.UglyCasanova wrote: I've been contemplating getting this over the Bananana.
