I always think it's one of the coolest things ever when a song opens with the sound of rainfall, an/or thunder. I think it may be why "Riders on the Storm" is one of my favourite Doors songs. It's defintely a sound that's pleasing to the ear.

Awesome. Finally got to see them last October on their US tour. Maybe the best live guitar playing I've ever seen....
