How do you like that gristleizer ? I saw them on Reverb.retinal orbita wrote:Currently working with this, but always sort of shifting around - this is for bass, contact mic, synth, drum machine, whatever I'm screwing around with (top left pedal is a gristleizer clone, everything else pretty easy to figure out):

yeah, wah into FF is fun. nice thing is the area 51 has a buffer when it's on to keep the output impedence high, so the FF still responds as if it's seeing a load straight from the pickups.hbombgraphics wrote:Super cool board! Fishing is as Fun as Fuzz is an awesome Pedal!!!!!
do you use the wah to mess with the fuzz factory at all?

it does the job, though I feel like it's a little less responsive than my previous generic Chinese mini-tuner. I wanted the Hotone because of its size, letting me stack it and the SP Comp right above it on my board. It's a nice bonus that it's capable of a huge clean boost, though I've never used it to goose my drive pedals. yet.hbombgraphics wrote:chromewaves_ wrote:yeah, wah into FF is fun. nice thing is the area 51 has a buffer when it's on to keep the output impedence high, so the FF still responds as if it's seeing a load straight from the pickups.hbombgraphics wrote:Super cool board! That's flipping awesome, and was one of my follow up questions.
How you like that tiny tuner?
How is the visibility?
My headstock tuner left me high and dry when they switched stage lighting last week.
Tiny hotone tuner looks cool
I dig it - guy was great to deal with, shipped fast and fair. I feel like the Bias knob is a little finicky but I don’t know if that’s the actual Gristleizer circuit or the build. It’s loud as fuck, sounds AWFUL (like a Gristleizer should) and has given me no trouble - I’ve had it for years now! I love those new enclosures he’s doing. I kind of want to order a Wasp Filter/Gristleizer from him as well. He says ONLY use a PP2 or similar isolated power supply so be aware of that, he gave me specific instructions not to daisy chain it.sylnau wrote:How do you like that gristleizer ? I'm far from "there" - just got some furniture feet to raise the board so I can mount the underneaths. Next is cable everything up, then get to programming. I've explored it a little and have some ideas, but this is a massive undertaking that I expect to evolve over time. I'll share my patches...the ES-8 is really what is going to make things wild by setting up patches that have 10 or so controls per patch. I'm just looking to get line up soon. It's been rough not getting to use some of my sounds.Dowi wrote:I really admire how you managed to set up all that MIDI stuff, don't think I could ever do it, the fact that everything must be perfectly planned and set is something that both interests and scares me at the same time.
I am a bit of a Broughton fanboy, but the SuperStack is totally legit and worth it. Some of Josh’s stuff is solid but there are better options...his pre-amps though are second to none and the Tube in the Super Stack really makes it live up to the hype.qersty wrote:Jellies of that superstack
