yeah, wah into FF is fun. nice thing is the area 51 has a buffer when it's on to keep the output impedence high, so the FF still responds as if it's seeing a load straight from the pickups.

it does the job, though I feel like it's a little less responsive than my previous generic Chinese mini-tuner. I wanted the Hotone because of its size, letting me stack it and the SP Comp right above it on my board. It's a nice bonus that it's capable of a huge clean boost, though I've never used it to goose my drive pedals. yet.

I dig it - guy was great to deal with, shipped fast and fair. I feel like the Bias knob is a little finicky but I don’t know if that’s the actual Gristleizer circuit or the build. It’s loud as fuck, sounds AWFUL (like a Gristleizer should) and has given me no trouble - I’ve had it for years now! I love those new enclosures he’s doing. I kind of want to order a Wasp Filter/Gristleizer from him as well. He says ONLY use a PP2 or similar isolated power supply so be aware of that, he gave me specific instructions not to daisy chain it.

I am a bit of a Broughton fanboy, but the SuperStack is totally legit and worth it. Some of Josh’s stuff is solid but there are better options...his pre-amps though are second to none and the Tube in the Super Stack really makes it live up to the hype.
