Keeping the Echo Degrader, though. What a splendid cloud machine that is. Honestly one of my favorite pedals ever and it's also "just" another PT2399 chip delay.
I love the look of it and it does sound great. I really love spring reverb.
Echo Degrader is in my 'never ever sell' collection. I did once try to swap it for an RM-1N, which is probably the only thing I'd trade it for. I'd probably regret it, though.

im so confused on the rm-1n ...to me it seemed like the best reverb out there with its options, but I keep seeing "egh" ...reverbs are like fuzz to me now, I gotta buy a bunch to go threw them, and be left Still without a permanent fuzz/verb voice on board...

INCOMING!!!!

This beauty is on its way to me. The first production model (after the prototype) of the Retro Mechanical Labs 432k "rev2". I already own the incredible wooden box version and it's one of my favorite distortion boxes of all time from the versatility to the filters to the clean blend to the feedback and so much more. My version has some mods! Not certain if this was just done for me since I already own the original and he wanted to make it different or if it will be on all models produced so something to ask if you plan on ordering one. The sustain mod (right of the meter) reduces the signal going into one of the distortion gain stages and sends them to ground. Turn fully to the right for the original 432k setting. It works much like the sustain on a muff. The clipping mod adds in additional diode clipping in the distortion circuit. Can't wait! Clips to come!!

Oh... and this is obviously a much more pedalboard friendly version than the wooden box. Though it's still large it's thin enough to work well on a larger board.

I dunno I sold my Echo Degrader and I don't miss it (even though it's a lovely pedal, it was really only a one-trick pony for the way it wound up integrating itself into what I do). Wouldn't mind another one but it's not a must-buy for me right now.

The RM-1N is definitely worth trying. Another part in me letting it go is I don't think it blended well with the Echo Degrader (in my setup). Both are "hazy" pedals and color the dry signal. Having both on made things a little mushy for me and I lost too much treble/attack. Decided to keep one instead and thought the ED was the more interesting sounding of the two. I adore the RM-1N's fuzz circuit as well, but I was pretty much getting a similar blown out fuzz with my 4-tracks so it wasn't enough to sway me.

I would agree with this (one-trick) so far in the way I've been using it. Granted it's still early days for me, but I really dig that trick. The modulation is something else.

Yeah I seriously miss mine so much! It fits so well with what I like to play, worth building a whole rig around. If only I wasn't saving up for a Science amp or something like that I'd be all over another one.
