I guess all of the above. I want something that first and foremost is going to give me the most neutral sound possible so I know exactly what my mix sounds like. It looks like RP5 are the cheapest, but those Yamaha HS5 look really nice as well.

I'm only going to be doing this in my living room though so don't think I'll need anything expensive.

Reviews seem good for Mackie MR5MK2, anyone ever hear these? There are two for sale on CL for $175 like 40 minutes from me.

Probably gonna pick up a 100 pack of these babies sooner or later and make some ninja throwing stars out of 'em:

Bass XII sounds sick... I thought about bass IX like Matt Pike's 9 string with doubled high strings. (Am I remembering that right?)

Yeah I started off thinking that but then I just let the idea run wild.

Also missing summit but if he's doing rad real world stuff then that is infinitely better.
