Boss DS-2 ?
I just got one (and an OS-2). It's not a bad distortion at all !

Glace! the back end of that with all the verb and delay is crazy awesome,
I like the combo of fancy stuff and cheap stuff, always makes me happy.
Maybe answered before, but what are you playing into this?

Its really not. DS-1 mode is solid. A little less gain than the typical DS-1, but I kinda like that. The Turbo Mode is where its at tho. Easy access to that nasily cocked wah sound Billy Corgan gets for his solos. As long as you dial it in right, shits cash. They're super cheap used too.

My covers been blown!
Huge Frusciante fan since I was a kid, as well as a fan of the dudes hes influenced (Omar Rodreguez-Lopez for one). I don't sound anything like him play style wise, but I love the tone so I got the pedals.
Plus the DS-2 was necessary to run the WH10 properly. They really are ment for eachother.

Path: hp-1 > resonator > crybaby > hp+rat > vol > shape eq > dist-h > dmm > lflj > tape t+ > chv
All my dirt & tone shaping is together, likewise with the time & mod divided by the volume.
one of my fav aesthetic/accessible/functional setups ever
It's going to be a great weekend

Been a long time since I've posted anything. My stereo direct in setup:

- IMG_20180831_202556859_LL.jpg (1.06 MiB) Viewed 4234 times
TU-3 > Brothers > F*** > 11 > Thermae > Accountant > CabDryVR (stereo out) > 70CDR > RC-3 w/FS-7 > stereo into mixer > laptop/monitors. Thoughts:
TU-3 - it's a tuner and I like the color scheme
Brothers - I pretty much only use the boosts to slam the F***. I haven't spent enough time with the fuzzes to get a sound I like.
F*** - GOAT dirt, except for maybe the Pretty Years, which I've never played.
Oceans 11 - I got this because the Zoom's Spring just isn't good enough for my surfing needs. The spring here is very, very good. The other reverbs seem nice but I'm really just a spring guy.
Thermae - it is neat. The random mod is delicious and the more flexible rubbernecking make it so I don't want a whammy anymore.
Accountant - my tube-ish preamp, also stops the CabDryVR from clipping all the time because its headroom is awful.
CabDryVR - stereo, easily tuneable cab sims. The only DigiTech/DOD pedal I still use. My 'sound' is Bass 7 tuned highish, and Bass 4 tuned lowish - I think they're both Bassman related?
70CDR - Always on, adding a small amount of room reverb to give the stereo cab sim even more dimension. Also handy for stereo modulations (Duo Trem, Chorus) and digital delays (Trigger Hold).
RC-3 - stereo looping for songwriting, and playing of samples a la Man or Astro-Man?
I adore this board, especially the core F>11>Accountant>Cab>70CDR. Barely changed it at all in months and I'm actually writing songs again.

Looks fun! I've been doing mostly direct in recording recently, a pedal cab sim seems like not a bad way to go if you want the same setup to work live on a PA.

I use the bow in between songs during our gigs. I like to switch between bow an ebow for some parts while playing it live to « force » me to find new textures for a same track.
You can clearly listen to the bow during the intro of our EP and in the middle, between tune I et II (These two are merged because it was planned to be released on a one side cassette tape)

Here it is a short video clip of me recording some bow part for this EP:

I was a massive Frusciante-fanboy myself in my teens. He and Omar Rodriguez was my gateway drug to experimental music.
The first Ataxia EP had a huge impact on me.
