We could probably have got you in, although, you really didn't miss much. First Sydney gig lasted 10 minutes (as you probably heard) and we never fully recovered from that. Thanks!
im shocked that im talking to someone from one of my all time fav bands! i might have? but i would have only been 13 and 15 at the times with a baby face but also, yeah, glad i didnt go to the first one in retrospect. really sorry to hear that it fucked you up in the long term too really dug alarm bells too (the main riff from cocoon has been perpetually stuck and unstuck from my head for the last two and a bit years haha) guessing you guys are done for good too? seriously sorry if my fanning out here is making you uncomfortable

Not at all, I really appreciate it. Yeah, that gig didn't mess us up entirely, it just made things really different and difficult for a while. It was never going to be the same. John is back playing drums now, though, and absolutely killing it. Glad you enjoyed AB, that whole project was a bit tongue-in-cheek, just trying to throw as much funny crap against the wall and calling it a band. So much fun. We're not broken up, but if we play again, it would have to be with a different line up, life kinda got in the way. Just started a heavy fuzzy band with paul and duncan from Dananan too, written an album, but again, that might not see the light of day for a while. Too much kids and life and crap! !
I cordially invite you to fuck right off and let the rest of us talk about music like adults.- dubkitty

I used to watch the YouTube videos to learn the guitar riffs. That part in the beginning of Infinity Milk is still one of my favorite riffs of all time.

Hey Dungas, what band were you in? I'm always on the lookout for good music I might not have heard. I live in a small country town in Australia and there is only a small handful of radio stations I can pick up. There is country & western, a God bothering station, classical music station and a couple of really shit commercial pop stations. All I have is YouTube and the what are you listening to now thread right here to discover new music. It doesn't matter how old a song is, if I haven't heard it then it's new to me.
His band was called Dananananakroyd. (One of my personal favorite choices for a band name.)
And if you like Dananananakroyd, I'd also recommend looking into Johnny Foreigner. They're a similar style, and their album "Johnny Foreigner vs. Everything" is really excellent.
My life's been hell while we redid the studios. But I just did my first live broadcast on our new SSL and I couldn't be happier. This thing sounds gorgeous and it's so effortless to mix on.
