No reason why it shouldn't sound as good.
I run a split rig. The top row goes to a bass rig and the bottom row goes to a guitar rig. The black box lets me route my cables and mute either channel. In my bands Im covering bass and guitar at the same time.alexsga wrote:bass board?whoismarykelly wrote:
How do you like those 2 Valeton pedals? Both of them have me curious.ck3 wrote:As promised, excessive double board action:

Thanks. The Valeton Loft series has proven to be decent for the most part. I also own their Boss HF-2, OD-1, FA-1, and PH-1 clones, as well as the Rat, Fuzz Face, and envelope filter from the Coral series.Jero wrote: How do you like those 2 Valeton pedals? Both of them have me curious.
Cool board(s) too!
Why do you have the OC in the TB loop? Buffer not an issue with the other board with the CH? Having a cheaper oc-2 option is very intriguing, where as the chorus, there are options within that range. I'll have a look at the other ones you mentionedck3 wrote:Thanks. The Valeton Loft series has proven to be decent for the most part. The OC-10 is a dead-on Boss OC-2 copy in a minuscule enclosure, and the CH-10 seems to be in the same ballpark as a CE-2. Both have Boss-style buffered bypass and auto engage when they first receive power. The OC-10 tends to see more action than the CH-10.
I prefer to run the OC-10 before all dirt and sometimes rotate in sensitive germanium options like Buzzarounds and Ge Fuzz Faces. The CH-10 is in a more neutral position, so the buffer is not an issue.Jero wrote: Why do you have the OC in the TB loop? Buffer not an issue with the other board with the CH? Oh duh, I didn't even think about that. Makes total sense! I run my oc-2 right up front too (well, second position after oscillating fuzz), but no germanium fuzzers.ck3 wrote:I prefer to run the OC-10 before all dirt and sometimes rotate in sensitive germanium options like Buzzarounds and Ge Fuzz Faces. The OC-10 is my favorite Loft series pedal followed closely by the FL-10 and CH-10. The OD-1, FA-1, and PH-1 clones are also worth trying, though have quirks. The FP-10's controls interact in an odd manner, i.e., certain frequencies can be affected that create gain loss with bassier gain options like Muffs. The PH-10 nails late 70's phasing textures, but audibly clips with humbuckers. Lastly, the OD-10 provides perfect 80's metal mids with what is probably a bit too much bass cut for most.
I don't have as much direct experience with Valeton's Coral series. The Darktale (true bypass LM308 Rat with a 2 band EQ and more gain than the original circuit) is legit if you're looking for a basic Rat fuzzdrivestortion with a bit more to offer. The Red Faze is based on the Fulltone 69 and offers a bevy of standard and broken Ge Fuzz Face textures. I found the Katfish envelope filter a tad underwhelming, though it operates quietly and covers a decent area of the bandpass to lower highpass range with some tweaking.
