Re: Setup of the day thread?
Soooo idk how to make pics not huge when I upload them via mobile, but here is my humble set-up with my bluesy reggae-rock band
Squier VM fretless Jazz, custom McSpunx Mini Gnome (cleanblend-less among other things), GK 200RB, Aguilar GS115. BUKOW. Take THAT, six-member-band mixing.

Fuck I want some of that action. how easy is it to get some geometric/repeating action going?

it's very sensitive! like so sensitive I thought I broke it a few timeskbithecrowing wrote:Fuck I want some of that action. how easy is it to get some geometric/repeating action going?
it's easy to overload when running a bunch of the mods. I'm not too sure how capable this unit is at geometric repetition, but I'll try it some more in a bit and post results! pretty damn easy to make shit look pixel sorted, tape burning/holes, like you're on acid tho

hellll yeah! I could feel your excitement through this postBrandsmannen wrote: Wow shit this looks so freaking badass. I have no idea what you are talking about, is this like video synthesis?? I am super clueless and super stoked at the same time
yes, a video synthesizer! this one happens to be a circuit bent video processor from radio shack. has 2 video inputs so you can fade them into each other. awesome shit, still figuring it out. honestly pissing me the fuck off though when it gets over loaded. some mods can only be used with one other at times.. so frustrating.. I don't think it can produce geometric repeats after all, from what I understand, but it excels at crazy pulsating lines, neon lo fi and tears in tape look! this is what I mean:

there's also a mod that looks like there's an lfo somewhere inside controlling the rhythm of pulses
hard to example through pictures. I'll make a thread once I actually get a video together to keep from flooding this thread with non noise stuff.. excuse the huge pictures

You people and your fucking huge photos're cray.
And speaking of cray:
Bog Beast > Witch Burner > Misty Cave > Electric Heat Cream Puff clone > ARC Klone
(volume on guitar rolled all the way off, picking up radio)

No photos because I'm a pleeb like that, but that setup turned into everything that you can hear on this track:kbithecrowing wrote:This is kind of how feel, but im nt sure I kinda want it to stand alone... how long is your first one?D.o.S. wrote:Drone Commander>1776 Multiplex>Gigahearts Gristlizer
Gonna create a new platter, hopefully it turns into part of another new track (one is ready to go, but it needs friends)

( I have no idea how to embed bandcamp links)
(also the final signal chain was DC>Gristlizer>1176)
