but on the Supah you can't adjust the threshold. can you on this bugagboo?

because FUCK EHX.
From the horse's mouth (no offence to mr.Rolo intended):
The way it works is that by default you are running a delay in a closed feedback loop and then you have a crossfade (controlled by the envelope of your guitar signal) momentarily switching the input of the feedback loop from the closed loop to what you are playing. Depending on how you set the sensivity of that envelope either every note you play will be added to the feedback and looped indefinitely until you play another note or you can play with the strength of your playing so that only the louder signals get added to the loop. If you max out the sensivity control, nothing gets through and your loop is going on infinitely (well almost, after 10 minutes or so you start hearing it degrade, in a nice way though) while you are able to play along.

:success: how much you pay for that bad boy? Still one of the best sounding pll's, super thick sound. I think the second BIGGEST pedal I ever owned though, after the SY300, seriously hogging up the board space. Worth it though.

The David Rolo thing is really enticing. Already busy making a list of patches I'd want. I love the lfo yueuy filter voicing. Very Silent Hill-ish.

I've no experience with the Neunaber stuff. The Molecular algorithms appear 1,000 times more interesting, though. :joy: However, it would be nice to have the Slate's USB functionality so we could experiment a bit before committing to patches.

Just scored one of these for $200 off list. Pretty geeked. I can't wait to run a bunch of other stuff through the filter.

...or to run the Odyssey through the Acidbox (Polivoks). :!!!:

There are some decent demos, including a comparison with a vintage unit, but what put me over the top was a pretty lo-fi YouTube clip. I was listening to this the other night, and thought, "If this can make a $49 Casio sound like something off a 70s soundtrack, then I should just go ahead and get one."

Some of the factory sounds are here:
