Aye! Eivind's demo sold me on it. In fact, I have to stop watching videos by you two. I finally said "f*ck it" and bought it during the sale. Really glad I did - even though it pretty much cleaned me out for the rest of the year. Totes worth it.

Yeah. I really wanted to jump on a Possessed/Raptio during that sale. The handful of people on hear who have had issues with them "frying" or whatever really kind of freaked me out so i balked.

Mr. Black Fwonkbeta arrived yesterday. Holy hand grenade, that Black Friday sale! $80 off is insane. Pedal sounds great in default position, just tweak from there (easy to use, I love you).

Only thing I don't like is the way the knobs are labeled (Stank, Slop & Porkfat, or whatever). If I ever get another envelope filter, I'll be trying to figure out "which is the Stank knob?" I don't like this on DOD pedals either (meatbox, buzz box etc)

Ended up finding a good deal on Sweetwater today for a demo Acapulco Gold that wasn't on there yesterday! Should have it Monday or Tuesday. My custom cab also arrived on Monday but I haven't been able to transport it to our practice space so I haven't tried it out. It's been torture looking at it.

That was one of the major reasons I took so long to get one as well. I'll definitely report back if mine ever kicks the bucket. Crossing my fingers that it was just a problem with earlier models. Currently running it near the beginning of the chain and haven't had any issues thus far, but I'll move it around eventually as I'm keen to hear how it reacts to being hit with feedback and dirt.

Ok, the Volca FM is tons of fun. The sequencer is great and while you can tweak all the parameters as on a DX7, the macro knobs they added are a great addition. Korg rules, as usual.

I was so scared of feeding mine too strong a signal that i put it first in my chain (Well, second after my tuner)
Any lack of the effects strength/tightness/whatever being pre-dirt is negligible.
Anyway, one of the best pedals ever. I use it for the part in my songs where the "guitar solo" would typically be.
Paired with a Guitardammerung = lazers.
