Grats, mang. I just checked out The Books and really dig what I've heard. Spent way too much, but I'm still holding out for a Mid-Fi sale as well.
I absolutely love love love the Books, they changed my life man. Although most of Nick Zammuto's guitar lines are just a shit ton of edits in Sony's Acid and weird playing with studio gear. He does a lot of filtering with his guitar, so a static filter and something like an 8 step can do a lot in getting his weird sounds.

He also builds a lot of weird sound makers and instruments, so there's that. Here's some of his shit, it's pretty interesting!

Well, this Dope Priest is literally The Perfect Muff.

Fab black Friday pedlol scores on the past few pages. :thumb:

Just added this to my heap of inspirational gadgetry:

The lure of a 20% off sale at PGS was simply too great. I'm hoping the coming week of new pedal arrivals won't prove to be like eating too much dessert ... if there is such a thing.

You wouldn't happen to play bass by any chance? Almost ordered one of those as my main OD. Would love to hear some bass clips. :snax:

I don't currently play bass, but do have an 8-string guitar with active EMGs and a 28.625" scale length tuned to drop E I tinker with at times. Not entirely the same, I realize, but it could serve as a frame of reference. :idk:

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations. :thumb: Gonna dive in properly with my headphones when I get on the computer tonight, but I'm loving what I'm hearing so far.

I just learned that Tonefactor.com is offering 27.5% off everything (code: BF16), so one last impulse buy happened:

If I hadn't blown most of my proverbial wad on other gear, I would have gone for a Dr. Scientist Bit Quest, which they appear to have in stock.

Thanks for the heads up. With the discount, I just bought this ridiculously cheap. :yay:

That's it, I'm done.

Hopefully.

That was badass. Dude is creative as fuck. Those filtered pops and clicks in the scratch video are so pleasing; very ASMR. Going to playlist the Books on youtube while I finish up some late night paper work.

Went to a guitar show today and ended up coming home with this! Finally have an acoustic after 12 years of playing guitar.

Magnificent. Gibson Country & Western like. Rad sound. From what you said last night, I really thought you were going to get a 12 string though!
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

There was one dude there who had a Fender electric 12 that was gooorgeous, but 2.5k... lol no

12 string/bass selection was pretty poor (as expected, the general demographic and stuff on exhibit was what I expected from a guitar show, fancy woods, lots of gibsons and fenders and copies. The only builders there had very tone attorney sorts of guitars on display.

Did pick up a terrible p bass ripoff because it's hot pink. I'm going to get a new pickguard, defret it and maybe improve the electronics a bit as a project ( dumb impulse buy, I definitely should not have bought it but at least it was a cheap mistake).

Met the guys from Stone Deaf FX and they demoed a lot of their pedals and their new amps. Nice people, the amps and pedals sounded great.
