I think there is an internal trim that switches between a brighter and darker sound. I don't mind something a bit bright anyway since all my other delays are dark. I could use something brighter.

Mine was brighter than the Catbread Echorec, but the swells were lovely. Certainly more lush and the bigger sounding of the two.

I am disappoint. The Maxon DM-01 I ordered arrived today and it doesn't light up at all .
