i thought they were all purple?
Everyone I knew had a black GameCube. You've never seen a black GameCube?
I dug through my desk drawers and came up with the same color purple Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance! I misremembered my Nintendo DS being purple. I found that too and sadly it is grey/white.
half jk, but yah - i see now that there were different colors (including that weird Panasonic DVD thingy), but the only ones i've ever laid eyes on in irl were purp (or in nintendo speak "indigo")
mebbe bc regions?
def went with the purp GBC and GBA, tho for the GBA SP i plumped for the NES-look case....

Speaking of gamecube purple, one of my recent keep-entertained-at-home initiatives was this Retroid game thingy, which is slightly infuriating to deal with tech-wise but does the thing. (I'm not much of a console player, so this far I've just been occupied with getting MAME to work to dig through some ancient arcade games.)
Nah, just bought it. They're readily available on Ali/Amazon/elsewhere in a variety of retro stylez. But if you want to play more than the bundled games it takes some work — it's basically the processor from a generation-old android phone with a built-in gamepad (and no touchscreen) so it takes some dealing to deal with the android versions of the emulation software, plus digging out whatever ROMs you want.
