I like this one a lot. Sometimes when I play by myself I want a bit more ass, but in a band context it's really niceck3 wrote:Tried a boutiquey, toned-down blues lawyer version of this and then decided on the real, screaming deal ...
Can't wait to crank the gain and have a genuine 250 experience.

I was hoping to give my tone more of a warm "shocker" effect, but fuzzy booty bulk is okay, too.Brandsmannen wrote:I like this one a lot. Sometimes when I play by myself I want a bit more ass, but in a band context it's really nice
Interesting choice for starting modules...Dark Barn wrote:Modules starting to roll in. a lot of pedals have rolled out.
Well, not familiar with modular outside of using soft synth modulars, Reaktor or Zebra, and in those cases if i can find a preset that works for what i need I will go that route first, but I *can* blunder my way through it from init to a patch that does what I want eventually. I'm not great with patching synths but I've spent the past year fucking with synths every week and learning. My set up is currently a Gotharman's Fuzion (which is actually pretty deep and I use it on almost everything i do), Nord Drum 2 and a laptop. Also have a Gotharman's Anamono X (internally modular) on preorder, should be here soon in fact.oscillateur wrote:Interesting choice for starting modules...
I assume you're already familiar with synths ? Because the Shapeshifter is deep as fuck and the Doc Oc is a complex module in a way (filter, oscillator or LFO depending on your needs and with a bunch of specific tricks).
Let the record show that I'm unsure about this statement.Disarm D'arcy wrote:You were given two sets of fingers. One front, one back.
With that background you should be okDark Barn wrote:Well, not familiar with modular outside of using soft synth modulars, Reaktor or Zebra, and in those cases if i can find a preset that works for what i need I will go that route first, but I *can* blunder my way through it from init to a patch that does what I want eventually. Also I got both used at prices low enough to probably make a few bucks if they don't work out for me. I already agree with you on the filter, it does things i am not interested in, but the filters I was actively seeking I couldn't find used. The money from selling my pedals was piling up too high, had to start somewhere, and I like to buy used if i can = doc oc.
Yeah it's actually got a pretty impressive price:awesomeness ratio. Stupidly sold mine a couple years ago because I thought there was a bypass bleed sort of issue with itInconuucl wrote:Hey man, the RV-3 is one of my favorite pedals ever, so no shame in getting one.frigid midget wrote:Damn...
Now I'm supposed to come after that and announce I have a boring old RV-3 incoming?
