I went and got wild in the past few weeks.
First I picked up the MIDI foot controller. So then I needed a Bass Synth, obv. So I bought the Dreadbox Hades.
Then I NEEDED a Jazzmaster. I came across a VMJM at a local shop. It was still at the old Squier pricing ($299) and they did a setup on it. Fortunately the guitar tech at the shop knows Jazzmasters well. He shimmed the bridge and trimmed the screws on the saddles so the strings wouldn't rub. Couldn't believe how well it plays. The neck is seriously on pair with the MIA Telecaster I have and feels better than that of my Fender Toronado (MIM). Pickups will probably go at some point in time but I've been seriously impressed.

Got home knackered after three days away knowing I'd missed a couple of deliveries. Turned out a neighbour held on to one of them for me, and it was the best one!!
