In: Lexicon Vortex.
Not in: power supply for Vortex.

Fuck you, Guitar Center Used Department. Even pawnshops on eBay disclose when the power supply is not included. Now I'm paranoid that it wasn't tested and has bad encoders or worse.

pretty neat module, i really like how you can use it backwards to combine two different signals too.

Just to note it will drop voltage 0.7v or something. I saw it a few weeks back and added it to the ring mod thread on a tangent haha.

There are a few active ones out there too (like Barton and NLC I think).

I think that something that simple, with compensated gain, could really open doors to some neat stuff (and they are fairly simple circuits). The divider video was pretty good too.

Been really looking into Ian Fritz's circuits a lot lately...some neat chaos generators and waveshapers.

NLC has a circuit based on the way a giant squid brain works  ... Neat stuff that can be adapted to any format.

yeah, I read that thread on muff's about it back when looking at what's availabe. addac have a comparator/rectifier that looks pretty handy too

The Fritz chaos circuits look awesome, but those Elby versions are too deep for the cases i decided on :grumpy: That's what lead me to NLC, and that Squid Axom is on my to-do list :thumb:

This looks fun too, I'm still waiting on mine to get here

This week (and next week maybe) is going to be fucking insane!!

Nelson is finally arriving, along with a Whammy V, and if I'm lucky Pretty Years will show up sooner rather than later. Woooo

EDIT: aaaaand then I remember I'm out of town with work till Friday. :picard:

Have you tried one? Why regret?

It's a cassette tape delay?

You can DIY one for way less than $800 bro.

I've just read shit about it not working properly:

- Stomps not reacting
- "Within one hour of use my T-Rex Replicator already sounds like the delays are completely out of tune even with the chorus off."
- "If you don't play in time with the beat of the echoes it cuts off your notes as they approach the beat causing a ducking effect that also sounds a bit like detuning."
- "The tap tempo works fine on the short repeats in the green and red mode, but the long repeats only line up with the flashing LED in the red mode."
- "The tape mechanism is not stable at all"

Those complaints sound pretty much like most complaints against tape echo.
:idk:
